Summary

Sea Containers PC manufacture dangerous goods containers that comply with Australian Standards AS1940-2004 (storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids)

We start the manufacturing process by using a premium quality container. We then weld a floor structure throughout the container using 3mm RHS (Rectangular Hollow Section) steel. This forms support for the bund which will contain accidental spillages. We then use a fully welded and framed industrial expanded mesh flooring system to cover the floor structure. The mesh floor is fully removable allowing the use of absorption matting or the washing out of the bund, in the instance of a spillage. We weld a tap into the bund wall conveniently located near the doors for removing spills. Vents are then added that exceed the minimum standards requirement, followed by the removal of locking rods and the manufacturing of the emergency exit system.

Once all welding and steel fabrication has been completed, all welds are primed and the whole container is undercoated. Once the containers are primed they are then finished with several coats of Hi visibility yellow. We believe our stringent manufacturing process and simple design will give you many years of hassle free use.
