Summary

Open top containers are manufactured using corrugated steel and usually have timber floors. The features that differentiate from a standard shipping container are a removable tarpaulin roof and removable roof bows that run across the width of the container as well as a movable door header (the structural beam over the doors). The door header can be either hinged and/or removable depending on the manufacturer. These features allow easy access for larger forklifts and for crane loading/unloading.
